Corporate Cover-Up of Sexual Harassment
Broslavsky & Weinman, along with co-counsel Hannemann Law Firm, APC, recently received two judgments against Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. The claims brought by two former employees of Dollar Tree resulted in a corporate restructure of the region and payment of $650,000 ($325,000 for each Plaintiff) for allegations of sexual harassment, failure to prevent harassment, negligent supervision, retaliation and wrongful termination in violation of public policy. Each case dealt with repeated sexual comments and innuendo by the manager of the Dollar Tree location on Industrial Park Avenue in Redlands, California, along with allegations of a corporate cover-up by Dollar Tree. The cases are Sedano v. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., San Bernardino Superior Court Case No. CIVDS1405081 and Bernstein v. Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., San Bernardino Superior Court Case No. CIVDS1407655.
